How do customs and HTS codes work for cross-border labels?
Every USA or international parcel needs an HTS code, country of origin and declared value for each product. You can save these once per product and search HTS codes from the portal. You stay responsible for the accuracy of the declaration, and the label cannot be bought until it is complete.
Can I self-ship USA or international labels with PrepKingz label-only mode?
No. Labels for addresses in Canada can be shipped from anywhere. USA and international parcels have to be dropped off at our Montréal warehouse so we can hand them to the carrier with the customs paperwork.

What is PrepKingz?
PrepKingz Shipping is a Canadian fulfillment and shipping portal for Shopify, Amazon FBM, and eBay merchants. You compare and buy carrier rates (Canada Post, UPS, and FedEx), pay from a prepaid CAD wallet, and optionally send pick-and-pack work to the PrepKingz warehouse. The app is not embedded in Shopify Admin—after OAuth you operate in the PrepKingz portal.
How do I install PrepKingz on Shopify?
In Shopify Admin, open Apps, find PrepKingz, and install it. Approve the requested scopes (orders, fulfillments, and related location access). Then create or sign in to your account at shipping.prepkingz.ca (/signup or /login). In the portal, open Integrations, enter your shop domain (for example your-store.myshopify.com), and choose Connect to finish OAuth.
What is the difference between label-only and PrepKingz warehouse fulfillment?
Label-only (merchant-managed) — PrepKingz syncs paid unfulfilled Shopify orders, quotes rates, and purchases shipping labels from your wallet. Your team (or your own facility) handles pick and pack.
PrepKingz warehouse fulfillment — PrepKingz registers a Shopify fulfillment service and warehouse location. Assigned orders flow to the Operations desk for label purchase, pick, pack, and tracking push. Choose the mode that matches how you signed up or how your account is configured.
How does the prepaid CAD wallet work?
Wallet balances are tracked in CAD cents. Fund the wallet from Billing with Stripe Checkout (card and other Stripe methods for your account). Where offered, Interac e-Transfer instructions appear in the portal; Interac credits after the transfer is matched. Buying a label debits the wallet at purchase time. Which Shopify orders appear in PrepKingz?
Paid, unfulfilled Shopify orders sync into the PrepKingz queue. After you connect the shop in Integrations, use the Sync orders button to import (or refresh) open fulfillment orders. Keep the connection active so new paid orders continue to import.
How does tracking get back to Shopify and my customers?
When a tracking number exists, PrepKingz creates a Shopify fulfillment with fulfillmentCreate and notifyCustomer enabled by default. Shopify can then mark the order fulfilled and send your store's normal shipping notification email with carrier and tracking. PrepKingz does not replace Shopify checkout, payments, or your theme.
Is Amazon FBA part of this shipping portal?
No. Amazon FBA prep is a separate product with a separate account at https://dashboard.prepkingz.ca/. FBA login and inventory workflows are not the same as PrepKingz Shipping at shipping.prepkingz.ca.
Do you support eBay or Amazon FBM?

Who is responsible for customs and HTS codes?
You (the merchant) are responsible for accurate HTS codes, country of origin, and declared values on cross-border shipments. The portal can search USITC HTS data as a convenience; that search does not replace your compliance obligations or guarantee tariff classification.
What is the same-day warehouse cutoff?
For PrepKingz warehouse fulfillment, same-day processing uses a 2:00 PM cutoff in America/Toronto (Eastern Time). Orders that miss the cutoff are handled on a later warehouse wave. Label-only merchants ship on their own schedule after buying labels.
Where do I manage API keys and webhooks?
In the portal, open Settings → API & webhooks to create or revoke API keys for your account. Public API documentation is at /docs/api.
What happens when I uninstall the Shopify app?
